While attracting new customers is a key goal for every business, building a relationship with current customers to stimulate return sales is equally as important. Here are some ways you can build customer loyalty and keep people coming back to your business.
Coupons
Who doesn't love a good coupon? Coupons not only encourage people to shop at your business, but also they can cause them to spend more. For instance, if you offer a coupon that requires customers to spend $75 to save $15, then consumers who would ordinarily spend less would be persuaded to spend $75 just to take advantage of the deal. To turn a one-time buyer into a return customer, offer a special coupon with every purchase. Something as simple as 10% off their next purchase can motivate them to shop at your store again.
Ecards
While your business may send corporate holiday ecards around traditional holidays like Christmas, you should considering sending them to your customers for unconventional celebrations too. Receiving an ecard makes your customers feel individually appreciated and will boost their opinion of your brand. Give your customers a special ecard for unique holidays that pertain to your industry, such as National Relaxation Day, National Hobby Month, or Fishing Week. Also send corporate holiday ecards for important occasions like a customer's birthday or Customer Service Week.
Loyalty Program
Invite your customers to participate in a loyalty program. You can design your loyalty program however you like. It can be as simple as offering an annual discount on the customer's birthday or anniversary. Or, you can create a point system, in which customers earn points for every dollar spent which can be redeemed for special offers and coupons.
Freebies
Everyone likes free stuff. Offer your customers an incentive to buy by offering a free item with their purchase. Or, to entice them to spend more, provide a free item when shoppers spend a specific amount.
